What a great day! Happy Birthday, Mamaw! Thanks for spending the day with us.

Summer Fun

Momma took Mason to the pool for a swim. He loved it and so did Mom. Getting out of the house and into the sunshine was the perfect way to spend the afternoon.

First Father's Day

A special Blog from Dad.

The family spent the weekend downtown with Mamaw Allen watching Mason Saturday night so mom and dad could  have a brazillian steak dinner alone!  Mason definitely liked all of the lights downtown and loved strolling around the circle.

After the big weekend out the family spent Sunday around the house relaxing.  The best part about the weekend for Dad was getting to spend the weekend with Mason and Mom.  Dad spends too much time at work during the week and ALWAYS looks forward to getting to play with Mason on the weekend and fathers day was no exception.

Weekend of Fun

Mason went to his Mamaw and Papaw's house this weekend to visit Aunt Beth, Uncle Jon, Cousin Ben and to see his extended family at the Rivers family picnic. The boys got their very own pool to swim in and had fun splashing around.  Inside they played on the floor.  Cousin Ben would crawl over to Mason and try to eat him. (Everything that looks good to Ben goes into his mouth)!

"Hello, Mason. I will eat you now."

"Momma, tell Ben to stop trying to eat me."

Hey, Aunt Sarah!

Mmmmm. More Mason.

Look at me!

Two little frogs.

Splish Splash!

Four Months Old

Mason is now 4 months old! He went to the doctor Tuesday for his check-up.  Here are his new stats.
Height:  25.25 (64th percentile)
Weight:  14lb 15 oz (53rd percentile)
Head:  42.75 cm (64th percentile)

Mason is becoming more and more fun each day as he laughs out loud, tries new foods, jabbers, and is able to try new things. He is such a blessing.

B-A-N-A-N-A-S

Mason's appetite is sometimes insatiable. So one day, after feeding Mason what felt like nonstop, Momma tried feeding Mason some banana.  Even if he doesn't eat it, she thought, it might distract him for awhile.  Well, it turns out Mason is able to swallow-- and has a real interest in eating-- so he might just be ready to begin to start solids.

One the second day of eating bananas, Momma couldn't feed it to him fast enough. Mason cried between bites and excitedly grabbed Momma's hand as it came towards his mouth. Momma thinks they are ready to start solids! Here a few pictures of Mason eating his bananas from Momma's finger.

Laugh out Loud

Smiles are easy to come by with Mason.  However, to get him to laugh, you really have to work.  Here are a few laughs captured on video when Momma blew on his toes. :)
