8 MONTHS OLD

Mason is growing up so fast.  Everyone says that about their child, because its true.  They do grow so fast. Mason has really taken off lately. Before he could even crawl, he loved to stand. Standing is still one of his favorite things to do and he loves to push his cart around the living room.  Here he is on his 8 month birthday.

Mason, Mamaw, and Momma went to STL to see Aunt Beth and Cousin Ben.  Momma and Mamaw had fun taking the boys to the park---hopefully the boys had fun too.

Happy Fall Y'all. And fall means combine rides with Papaw! Mason was dressed to impress with his bib overalls and loved the action in the combine.

So Mason isn't crazy about the swing or the slides yet-- but he'll get there someday. In the meantime its a great reason to get out an enjoy the beautiful fall weather.

SEVEN Months!

Today is Mason's last day for being 7 months old. Momma can't believe he will be 8 months old tomorrow! Mason grew so much in the last month! Seven months has brough many firsts.  Mason is now:
*Feeding himself puffs, melties, and anything that is put in front of him
*Crawling
*Pulling-up
*Sitting himself up
*Saying "day-day"
*Experiencing separation anxiety
*An Eastern Comet Fan!

Momma & Mamaw took Mason to get his 6 months picutres taken. Because Mason is so smiley Momma ended up buying a ton of pictures!

Six Months Old

 It's crazy to think Mason is 6 months old! Wow!! So many things have changed in the last six months. Mom and Dad's lives for sure! and Mason keeps changing and growing day by day.  At six months he is starting to seem more and more like a big boy!

At six months Mason is:
Sitting up anywhere and everywhere
Scooting to reach what he wants
Teething
Loving his solid food
Not sleeping thru the night (but it's getting better)
Laughing, laughing, laughing
Sitting in his high chair

Today Mason hung out with best boys, Owen & Luke.  These three little monkeys are quite the handful, and only one of them is mobile.  It's only going to get more exciting with these three.

Five Months

5 Months

Five Months Old--Mason is growing so fast--and so is his hair! As always, Mason is full of smiles and can charm anyone with his grin.  So often, he and Momma are stopped by strangers so they can get a close up of the happy fellow. 

At five months, Mason is:
a master at rolling over,
no longer sleeping through the night,
laughing out loud (lots),
eating cereal,
trying new foods,
crying when Momma leaves the room,
swimming at the pool,
and sitting up by himself for a few seconds at a time.

Fourth of July Fun

The Downing family made their annual trip to Lake Tippy to celebrate the Fourth (sorry Hansons).  This year was extra special.  It was the first 4th celebration at the Lake for Mason, Luke (BFF), and Leyton (cousin). Here's a picture of the three of them on a pontoon ride.  Luke could hardly sit still long enough for the picture. He was ready to go!

To make the trip complete, on the way home the family stopped to see Great Grandma & Great Grandpa. Mason loves to visit with his GGs and they love to visit with him.

 

It was a weekend jammed packed full of family and fun. Good thing Mason has his Grammy to nap with.  All those aventures wore him out.

Summer Fun

Momma took Mason to the pool for a swim. He loved it and so did Mom. Getting out of the house and into the sunshine was the perfect way to spend the afternoon.

First Father's Day

A special Blog from Dad.

The family spent the weekend downtown with Mamaw Allen watching Mason Saturday night so mom and dad could  have a brazillian steak dinner alone!  Mason definitely liked all of the lights downtown and loved strolling around the circle. 

After the big weekend out the family spent Sunday around the house relaxing.  The best part about the weekend for Dad was getting to spend the weekend with Mason and Mom.  Dad spends too much time at work during the week and ALWAYS looks forward to getting to play with Mason on the weekend and fathers day was no exception.

Weekend of Fun

Mason went to his Mamaw and Papaw's house this weekend to visit Aunt Beth, Uncle Jon, Cousin Ben and to see his extended family at the Rivers family picnic. The boys got their very own pool to swim in and had fun splashing around.  Inside they played on the floor.  Cousin Ben would crawl over to Mason and try to eat him. (Everything that looks good to Ben goes into his mouth)!
