The Rookie returned to the doctor for his two-month well-baby visit. He's ahead of the pack: smiling, holding up his head, grasping things, and sleeping through the night.
Here are his updated stats:
Weight: 12 lb 6 oz
Height: 23.75 in.
Head: 40.25 cm
Mason also received three shots and one oral vaccine. He handled the needle sticks well, but by the evening he was running a fever and was not feeling well. Not to mention, his little legs were red, swollen, and painful. The Mickey Mouse Band-aids weren't helpful, but Tylenol certainly was! He's on the mend and is doing much better.

Family Dinner
Mom, Dad, and Mason went out for dinner. Mason was supposed to be asleep in his carseat. But, he wasn't. Right after the food arrived, Mason started screaming. Screaming so loud and without pause, Mom had to take him out of the restaurant.
Dad ate his dinner alone in the restaurant. Mason ate his in the car. And Mom ate her dinner at home from the to-go box. So much for family dinner.
Most parents have probably experienced something similar to this at least once. And they've probably also experienced this.... After cutting their dinner short and rushing to get Mason home, they realized there was no reason to rush. Mason was already asleep in the back seat.

Sleeping...................Through the Night!
Mason slept through the night last night and the night before! Mom thought it was just a fluke--but since he's done it twice in a row--she's hoping it will continue and that this post doesn't jinx things. However, Mason only sleeps-- and stays asleep-- if he has his suckie. Mom is quick to reinsert it when it comes out to keep her baby sleeping!!
Heading West
After his visit to the Bank, Mason headed west with his Papaw, Mamaw, Mom & Dad to visit his Cousin Ben, Uncle Jon, & Aunt Beth in Missouri. Mason did great in the car-- sleeping the entire way there and back.
He has much catching up to do to keep pace with his Cousin Ben, but no doubt soon enough they will be equals. Here is a picture of the two of them...soon to be partners in crime..while they are still innocent.

Bank Baby
Mason was the guest of honor at the bank last week. A party was thrown just for him and proud dad got to show him off to all of his co-workers. Mom and dad would like to thank everyone at FFBT for their generosity and for the wonderful shower. It was such a fun afternoon!

Six Weeks
Things are changing! After turning six-weeks old Mason:
- Always wants to have his suckie when napping
- No longer fits in his newborn clothes & is wearing 0-3 months (it is about time)
- Is awake for longer periods of time and enjoys playing
- And totally rewrote the schedule is mom was getting used to!
